When doing the walk there is a sign every half kilometre with the distance left to go. We started off at 112 kilometres and now fourth day in and 38 to go!! We usually walk from 15 to 20 kilometres every day, just depends on how every one is feeling. We try to leave at half 9 ish in the morning, walk until half 12 ish, and we always try and find a good stop to have lunch.

Lunch is usually sandwiches with a cheese spread and crisps, we always get some sort of a cake and a piece of fruit, we try to find something on the way as well; for example today we borrowed a few bunches of grapes from a nearby vine beside a deserted house.

Most of the walk is on a path or in the forest but sometimes we have to cross over a main road to continue the way.

Katie has in her hand our Santiago de compostella passport which we have to get stamped twice a day, most cafés and bars can do it but there are even sometimes some stamps on the way so you don’t even need to stop.

This man is from Gibraltar and he was doing between 70 and 80km a day. We say buen Camino to everyone we pass.

And here is Katie. If you look closely you can see Stacey, Barbies’s sister poking out the rucksack.
