It’s taken a while – and a lot of google searching and reading – to realise I am a classic CLIP. I’ve always been late since I was tiny. I try not to be. I always am.
The title photo is a copy of a piece of paper I carry around in my purse, a bit like a donor card, made by eldest son, describing my worst trait. A little reminder which is intended to make me not late, but which doesn’t ever work. Because I’m a CLIP. Combine an ultra-ultra optimistic person (eg one who believes there is more chance of a Swiss train being exceptionally delayed by 10 minutes on this day only, than missing said train by arriving at the station after the departure time) – and a slightly insane person – and you get one. It’s a Chronically Late Insane Person.
